PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer tomographic apparatus including a movable detector diaphragm, reducing the depth along the z-axis of a gantry housing and little limiting the inclination of the gantry to the z-axis. SOLUTION: This computer tomographic apparatus includes: a gantry having at least one X-ray tube 4 and at least one detector 5, wherein at least one X-ray tube 4 and at least one detector 5 can be rotated around the system axis (z-axis) 7, at least one detector 5 has a width B in the system axial direction and a length L in the circumferential direction, at least one movable detector diaphragm 6 is disposed, and the detector diaphragm 6 is moved to the front of the detector to partially cover at need.
