A transparent of semi-transparent self-adhesive synthetic resin sheet, which exhibits the effect of shielding heat due to the function of shielding heat resulting from the incorporation of an inorganic infrared ray shielding agent; and a method for manufacturing the above synthetic resin sheet, which comprises forming an infrared ray shielding layer containing the inorganic infrared ray shielding agent on the surface of the above self-adhesive synthetic resin sheet or comprises incorporating the inorganic infrared ray shielding agent into the self-adhesive synthetic resin sheet in a dispersed state. The self-adhesive synthetic resin sheet exhibits the effect of shielding heat and can be pasted on a building or a window glass of a vehicle with ease without the use of an adhesive agent and also can be peeled off with ease.
