PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase energy absorbing amount at the time of collision, by ensuring axial dimensions of a polygonal frame material absorbing impact at the collision by plastic deformation in a limited layout space. SOLUTION: A joint member 4 interposed between the polygonal frame material 2 and another hollow frame material 5 is composed of a cylindrical fitting portion 41 with a bottom to which an end portion of the polygonal frame material is fitted and fixed, and a flange portion 42 outwardly extended from an periphery of the fitting portion and joined to another hollow frame material while the fitting portion is received by another hollow frame material. Especially, at bottom wall 41a of the fitting portion in a joint member, a plurality of ribs 44a to 44f is radially extended from a center portion 43 while corresponding to an inner plate portion 24 of the polygonal frame materia.
