PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor having a highly strong and highly corrosion resistant sealed vessel. SOLUTION: This compressor 10 has a motor-driven element 14, a rotary compression mechanism part 18 connected to this motor-driven element 14, and the sealed vessel 12 for storing these motor-driven element 14 and rotary compression mechanism part 18 inside. The sealed vessel 12 is formed of a material mainly composed of aluminum, and compresses and delivers an introduced refrigerant by driving the rotary compression mechanism part 18 by the motor-driven element 14. Here, rust preventive processing is applied to the sealed vessel 12. Thus, even if the sealed vessel 12 is formed of the material mainly composed of the aluminum and much in the content of Cu, since this sealed vessel 12 can prevent corrosion, this sealed vessel 12 can be formed with high rigidity and high corrosion resistance.
