摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck holding method capable of restraining deflection at the time of turning of an inner peripheral surface of a forged inner race blank of an angular bearing by exhibiting finishing accuracy by turning of an inner diameter surface of the hot-forged inner race blank of the angular bearing to be processed in a range of within±0.05 mm by devising a holding method by the chuck of the forged inner race blank of the angular bearing. SOLUTION: In turning of the inner diameter surface 9 of the forged inner race blank 1 of the angular bearing having a large flange 2 and a small flange 3, a rear end outer periphery of the large flange 2 of the forged inner race blank 1 is fastened with a part of 1/2 to 2/3 of a length of a chuck 6 holding the forged inner race blank 1 to the perpendicular direction with respect to the axial direction, axial direction partial force 13 of the fastening force is applied to a tip direction of the large flange 2, and thereby the tip of the large flange 2 is abutted and is pressed to a chuck 7 so as to be held.
