<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing procedure and its apparatus which can identify an insulation failure of the motor coils with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: The testing procedure comprises a step positioning a relative position between the rotor of motor and the test coil as the first position, a step (S101) measuring inductance value of the test coil at the first position, an identifying step (S103) identifying insulation failure of the coil from the inductance value at the first position based on a criterion, a step (S108) performing an impulse voltage test to a stator coil, and an identifying step (S109) identifying insulation failure of the coil by comparing the area of responsive wave shape obtained from the impulse voltage test with the specified reference area of responsive wave shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
