The invention relates to a joining device, comprising a die tool (8), a counter tool (25) and a support (4, 24, 34, 44, 54, 64) with an opening (5), for receiving the die tool or counter tool. Both tools are arranged coaxially to each other at different ends (2, 9) of a C-shaped clamp (1). Said invention is characterised in that the support has at least one plane contact surface (6, 7, 47) on the outer surface thereof, which is adjacent to at least one plane face (3, 33, 43) of the corresponding end of the C-shaped clamp (1) and which is removably mounted thereon. At least one spacer (17, 22), which defines the tilting and/or spacing of the contact surface in relation to the face, is arranged between the contact surface and the face.
