The connection for a three-dimensional decorative object has spaced apart plate-form components (1,2) with co-axially aligned recesses (9,10) for a connecting sub-assembly which consists of a distance piece (3) installed between the plate-form components and a sealing element (4) installed on the outer side of each plate-form component. The distance piece and sealing element are rigidly interconnected and the connecting sub-assembly fixes the plate-form components in such a way that relative movements in relation to one another is not possible.
