PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve uncomfortableness to listen to sounds in adverse receiving conditions and provide a user with kind sound signals in a ground wave digital broadcast receiver. SOLUTION: The receiver 10 has a content comparator 18 for comparing a sound signal in a hierarchical layer A (for mobile unit reception) with that in a hierarchical layer B (for fixed unit reception) to check whether both are the same and a receiving condition decider 19 for controlling a change-over output of the sound signal. The decider 19 outputs the sound signal for the fixed unit reception in the usual receiving condition, but, when the receiving condition is adverse, decides whether the sound signals for the moving unit reception and the fixed unit reception are the same and changes the sound signal to that for the mobile unit reception, if the same.
