<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device for supporting an optical fiber of an optical fiber strain measurement system on a surface of a structure, the general-purpose supporting device being inexpensive and capable of speedy installation for installing an optical fiber along a surface which is not flat, but very uneven like a sprayed concrete wall surface, a bedrock wall surface, etc., of a structure such as a tunnel. <P>SOLUTION: On a wall surface 3 of the tunnel 2, a support cylinder body 7 having an insertion hole 6 for the optical fiber 5 is laterally provided at a distance from a swell part 9 of a drift rod body 4.
