A vehicle chassis 5 is supported on wheels 1 by swinging arms 3 and springs 6. A laminated leaf spring 7 which is connected to each of the swinging arms 3 and bears a mass 10 constitutes a dynamic vibration damper. The centre of gravity of the assembly comprising the mass 10 and the spring 7 is positioned at the intersection between the transverse wheel axis 11 and the longitudinal mid-plane of the vehicle. The mass 10 may be provided by some useful component of the vehicle, such as a storage battery, a transmission box or a differential gearing. |
