The thin wires or rods may be plastically bent into a variety of decorative and interesting shapes or may form the skeleton for a shape clad in various materials. The foundation block or base (10) is hollow with thin slightly sloping sidewalls and a thin flat horizontal top surface with a regular array of small holes (11). The wires may be pushed through the holes and knotted or tied together underneath. There may be a central post extending downward round which the wires may be looped for extra security.
