PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical apparatus, in which a film relating to image formation is uniformly formed. SOLUTION: The electro-optical apparatus (1), which displays information by individually driving a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged pixels, is provided with a pixel group (20) in an effective display region (2) for displaying information among a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged pixels; a false pixel group (30) which is adjacent to the effective display region and which does not contribute to the display of information; and a bank film (61), which separates respective pixels in the pixel group in the effective display region and in the pseudo-pixel group and which prevents leakage of light in between mutually adjoining pixels in the effective display region.
