PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire excellent in dynamic properties, particular cutting resistance and having excellent resistance to puncture, compared with conventional rubber products. SOLUTION: The rubber composition is obtained by impregnating a polybenzazole short fiber into a first treating solution mainly containing an epoxy compound having two or more epoxy groups in 1 monomer molecule and a blocked isocyanate aqueous solution, drying and heat-treating the impregnated short fiber and then impregnating the impregnated short fiber into a second treating solution containing a mixed liquid of resorcin-formaldehyde-rubber latex (RFL), drying, heat-treating and cutting the impregnated short fiber. The rubber composition has≤45°half value width of a wide angle X-ray diffraction intensity and≤3 mm cracking length when dropping a knife in STAB resistance evaluation test.
