PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high efficient part feeding technique whereby parts can be smoothly fed, a size of a device can be reduced, and miniaturization is facilitated. SOLUTION: The part feeder is provided with a part housing part for housing the parts; a reciprocating block reciprocating between a top dead center and a bottom dead center through the part housing part; a part holding part arranged on the reciprocating block in order to hold the parts; a part sensor for detecting the held part when the part is held by the part holding part of the reciprocating block at the time when the reciprocating block reaches the top dead center; and a control means for stopping the movement of the reciprocating block based on an outputted signal from the part sensor when the part held by the part holding part of the reciprocating block reaching the top dead center is detected by the part sensor, and continuing the movement of the reciprocating block based on the output signal from the part sensor when the part is not detected by the part sensor.
