<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for oxidizing olefinic hydrocarbons in which conversion and the yields of reaction products are improved, and selectivity of carbonyl compounds or epoxides is optionally improved, without using reducing agents such as hydrogen accompanied by a danger of explosion. <P>SOLUTION: Carbonyl compounds and/or epoxides, or carbonyl compounds and/or epoxides and carboxylic acids are produced by oxidizing olefinic hydrocarbons with oxygen, air or a gas containing oxygen, using supercritical carbon dioxide, subcritical carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide as a reaction medium and using inorganic oxides and/or noble metals as a catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
