PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking mechanism easily post-installable without boring a rail for an existing sliding door. SOLUTION: A lock 1 comprises a case 3 fixed to the outer surface of the rail 29 and a lock body 7. The lock body 7 comprises a cylinder 8, a rotor 9, and a locking rod 12. The lock body 7 is axially movable between an unlocking position and a locking position, energized to the locking position, and engaged with the case 3. The cylinder 8 is engaged with the case 3 so as to be axially moved and not to be rotated. The locking rod 12 connected to the rotor 9 comprises an engagement recessed part 12a and is projected to the rear of the case 3. The lock pin 13 is energized so as to be engaged with the engagement recessed part 12a of the locking rod 12 when the locking body 7 is located at the locking position and the rotor 9 is located at the lock position. A receiving plate 2 comprises an engagement hole 2a for receiving the tip of the locking rod 12 projected rearward and locking the inside sliding door 22 and the outside sliding door 21 to each other.
