To paint warning strips at the edges of steps (3) or plates of an escalator, or moving sidewalk, the continuous loop of steps/plates is moved past a paint spray (4) to apply the paint at the required zone in a given color. The paint spray is located near the handrail (1), attached to the pedestal (2) by magnets or suction pads (6). A spray shrouding (5) is between moving ribs (9) at the steps held in place by an external sprung roller (8), to give an enclosed paint spraying zone. |
