PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage truck capable of preventing dust in a cargo box from burning or exploding. SOLUTION: This garbage truck comprises: a driving-motor; a driving-motor starter; a driving device for driving an air compressor 8 in response to the operation of the driving-motor starter; nitrogen gas generator 9 into which the compressed air generated by the air compressor 8 is fed; and a discharging device for discharging the nitrogen gas generated by the nitrogen gas generator 9 into the cargo box 2.
