PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make contents management easier and reduce time and trouble for retrieval keywords selection. SOLUTION: This information recording and reproduction equipment 1 performs a phase 11 to create and update listening history information on contents being reproduced, a phase 12 to accumulate the listening history information, a phase 13 to compare the accumulated listening history information and retrieval keywords, and a phase 14 to extract contents based on the results. This information recording and reproduction equipment 1 records environment information, weather information, time of day, location information and the like which are being reproduced by relating each other in the history acquisition phase 11. In the comparison phase 13, contents including related keywords are listed from the accumulated listening history information, and in the additional information acquisition phase 15, contents are filtered by users' individual information and contents related information, and the extracted contents are presented.
