<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operation efficiency by quickly and highly precisely recognizing an object. <P>SOLUTION: This object recognizing system is configured to receive tag information stored in an IC tag attached to an object by a reader/writer, and to collate the tag information with preliminarily set object information by an object recognizing device for recognizing the object. To the object, a plurality of IC tags which store tag information having identical object information and identical or different tag identification information for each tag are attached. The reader/writer is provided with a reading means which reads the plurality of IC tags and a writing means which writes the plurality of IC tags.
