<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling-embedded type or ceiling-suspended type air conditioner, which makes better the air stream distribution in an air-conditioned room and having a simple structure for adjusting the air direction of an air stream blown out from a blow-out opening. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 comprises mainly a decorative panel 3 in which four panel side parts 30a to 30d and four corner parts 30e to 30h are alternately continuously formed. The decorative panel 3 has main blow-out openings 32a to 32d arranged along the panel side parts 30a to 30d and auxiliary blow-out openings 32e to 32h arranged at the corner parts 30e to 30h. The main blow-out openings 32a to 32d is provided with horizontal flaps 35a to 35d which can swing around the axis in the longitudinal direction.
