The steering wheel has a skeleton and cover as well as a container inside the wheel containing a movable vibration damper (5). Between at least one end side (11, 12) of the movable body and the associated end side (13, 14) of the container are the shock absorber means (F) such as fluid. The container can be completely filled with fluid which can comprise several components. The shock absorber means can be metal, rubber or plastics spring elements.
