The head has two intake ports (2) feeding fuel mix into a combustion chamber. A throttle plate (3) is installed at a side wall of each port over a shaft (5). Each plate is interconnected with the shaft through a sleeve (7) that partially encloses the shaft in the periphery. The shaft is arranged in a recess (26) of the each side wall, where the recesses are placed adjacent to an inlet flange (27) of respective side wall. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with a reciprocating piston type internal combustion engine comprising a cylinder head.
