FIELD: combustion apparatus. ^ SUBSTANCE: vortex furnace has combustion chamber provided with walls which define a hopper at their bottom section, at least one burner embedded into the wall of the combustion chamber, and nozzles for supplying air. The first nozzle is mounted in the bottom section of the hopper. The second nozzle is mounted on the wall of the combustion chamber opposite to the burner and below it. The nozzle is mounted on the wall of the combustion chamber so that its longitudinal axis intersects the adjacent wall of the hopper arranged from the side of the nozzle. The wall of the combustion chamber opposite to the burner is provided with the additional nozzle mounted above the burner.
