PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which can concurrently handling a plurality of kinds of liquids different in viscosity characteristics and which can eject each of the liquids in a stably ejected state, and an inkjet recording method. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording apparatus is equipped with a plurality of liquid ejection heads 24 and 26 for ejecting the liquid by an inkjet method, and a control means (a liquid-ejection-head drive control unit 100, and head driver ICs 243 and 263) for driving each of the liquid ejection heads at different driving voltages; and the control means supplies the driving voltages, which are preset depending on viscosity characteristics of the liquids ejected by the heads 24 and 26, to each of the heads 24 and 26.
