PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus or the like capable of being used for a document camera and easily acquiring a photographing image suitable for acquisition of presentation data. SOLUTION: When a shutter key is half-depressed during display of a through-image in a digital camera, contour extract processing is applied to a first object image 101 to specify (a) a rectangular region (principal object region) 101a, and the digital camera carries out optical zooming (b) whereby the rectangular region 101a is maximized within the screen. Thereafter, when the shutter key is half-depressed, the digital camera carries out photographing at the zoom magnification, applies angle correction processing (c) and trapezoidal correction processing (d) to a second object image 102 acquired thereby to produce a third object image 103 resulting from correcting the rectangular region 101a to be a rectangle. Moreover, the digital camera applies color adjustment processing (e) and contrast adjustment processing (f) to the image to produce a fourth object image 104 wherein character information is actualized, thereby recording the image 104 finally.
