PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing equipment, which is equipped with a plurality of plate cylinders and prevents troubles such as the dispersion of printing positions from developing under the condition that the sagging of paper is prevented from developing even when a short sheet of paper is printed, and a printing method employed therefor. SOLUTION: This printing equipment 100 has a plurality of the plate cylinders 1A and 1B, a carrying means for carrying paper 35 from the plate cylinder 1A to the plate cylinder 1B and a printing position adjusting means, which coincides a first printing position or the printing position by the plate cylinder 1A to the paper 35 with a second printing position or the printing position by the plate cylinder 1B to the paper 35 by shifting the relative position between the first printing position and the second printing position by the predetermined amount as compared with the amount required when the length L1 of the paper 35 is longer than the length L2 or the distance between the plate cylinder 1A and the plate cylinder 1B if the length L1 is shorter than the length L2.
