PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for growing matsutake mushroom by which the matsutake mushroom can be artificially grown without transplanting cultured mycelium of the Tricholoma matsutake to a natural Siro (a medium at which the Tricholoma matsutake emerges). SOLUTION: The medium 10 for growing the matsutake mushroom, formed in a container body 2 is obtained by laying a pine resin-impregnated filter paper 12 obtained by impregnating the pine resin thereinto on iron powder 11, and putting a weakly acidic agar medium 30 thereon. A recessed part 13a for transplanting a seedling of the Tricholoma matsutake is formed by attaching and detaching the first lid 3 to and from the container body 2, and the mycelium of the tricholoma matsutake is transplanted therein. The recessed part is covered with the second lid 4 to keep air permeability while preventing various germs from invading thereinto. An hydrogen ion is generated by the oxidation of the iron powder 11, and the mycelium 5 of the Tricholoma matsutake is propagated while absorbing nutriment of the pine resin under a condition near to the natural Siro. As a result, the mushroom is emerged therefrom. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
