PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pouch type secondary battery prevented from electrical short-circuiting. SOLUTION: The battery has an electrode assembly body 10 equipped with a first and a second electrode plates 11, 12 through a separator 13, a housing part 23 formed of soft material to house the assembly body 10 by insulating at least inner face and a sealing part along an edge of the housing part 23. The sealing part 23 includes a first sealing part 24a from which an electrode tap of the assembly body 10 is drawn outward, a pouch case 20 provided by a second and a third sealing parts 24b, 24c at both sides of the first sealing part 24a and a protective circuit module 30 coupled to the tap and disposed outside the first sealing part 24a. The second and third sealing parts 24b 24c are bent at least once to be provided with at least a part of the first to the third sealing parts 24a-24c, and a short-circuiting prevention part to prevent electrical short-circuiting between the end parts of each sealing part 24a-24c and the module 30 is further provided.
