<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently develop and change various applications by making clear document management that occurs when a document is inputted/outputted in the case of executing the various applications. <P>SOLUTION: The document processing apparatus is provided with: a means for inputting/outputting paper and electronic documents; and a document input/output processing application (a) including a document manager a1 for managing an input/output document in accordance with an input/output processing application (copy, FAX, scanner or printer, etc., ) and a service manager a2 for executing services in various management items in various kinds of document input/output processing.
