PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade driving device for a camera suitably obtaining a stationary state of a rotor at non-energizing time by making the rotor have a peculiar shape. SOLUTION: The blade driving device for the camera is constituted so that a driving pin 5c integrated with the rotor 5 actuates shutter blades 9 and 10 to open/shut when the rotor 5 is rotated reciprocatively. The rotor 5 is magnetized to have two poles in a radial direction, and a pair of projecting parts 5a and 5b is formed on either magnetic pole. A stator is constituted of a U-shaped yoke 3 and a coil 4, and the edges of two leg parts of the yoke 3 are made magnetic pole parts 3a and 3b. Thus, even when the coil 4 is not energized, the rotor 5 suitably maintains the stationary state because either the projecting part 5a or 5b is attracted to either the magnetic pole part 3a or 3b by the magnetic force of the rotor 5.
