PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor obtained by laminating, on a surface of an anode composed of a metal, a dielectric layer composed of an oxide of this metal, an electrolyte layer, and a cathode layer, wherein, when a paste layer containing silver is formed in a cathode layer, a migration of silver in the paste layer is suppressed and an increase in a leakage current is suppressed under a high temperature and a high humidity. SOLUTION: The solid electrolytic capacitor is obtained by laminating, on the surface of an anode 1 composed of a metal, a dielectric layer 2 composed of an oxide of this metal, an electrolyte layer 3, and a cathode layer 4. The cathode layer is constituted by laminating a conductive paste layer 42 using particles in which the surface of a copper particle is coated with silver on a carbon layer 41, or of only the conductive paste layer 42.
