PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that conventional scissors are not safely and easily used by a child, an aged person, a sight-impaired person, a person who works in a dark place, or a customer (who often get involved in talking and drink) in a Japanese-style restaurant serving crab, squid, or grilled meat, and the like. SOLUTION: The scissors having a pair of blades being substantially equal in length in blade parts include a bladeless extension part which is directed in the same direction as the blade parts in the anterior position of the blade part of one blade. Since the bladeless extension part is arranged at a distal end, it is safe for a worker in the dark, the child, the aged person, the sight-impaired person, the customer of the Japanese-style restaurant, or anybody else. The scissors are normally used by putting the shorter blade at a lower side, so that the scissors are easily turned with the distal end of the shorter blade as a base point and easily moved. Besides, the extension part of the upper blade is directed to the same direction as the blade part, then, a work is performed while visually recognizing the cutting direction.
