PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for outputting an image which can exactly set display condition of image information in a display device each time the display device, such as a monitor, etc. is connected to the apparatus for outputting the image, such as a DVD playback device, etc. SOLUTION: The apparatus for outputting the image includes the DVD playback device 10 which has a CPU 17 which acquires previously condition information of information showing display conditions of an HDMI monitor 40 from the HDMI monitor 40, an information converter 14 for converting based on the condition information for acquiring the image information outputted to the HDMI monitor 40, and an HDMI transmitter 15 for outputting the converted image information of the image information converted by the information converter 14 to the HDMI monitor 40.
