<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTP1B antisense compound which inhibits the action of PTP1B and thus is efficacious in treating diseases in which acceleration of tyrosine phosphorylation by PTP1B participates. <P>SOLUTION: This is a novel PTP1B antisense compound represented by the following general formula and a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof: E1-B1-B2-B3-B4-B5-B6-B7-B8-B9-B10-B11-B12-B13-B14-B15-B16-E2 (I) wherein B1, B4, B5, B10, B13 and B16 are the same or different and each represents T<SP>p</SP>, etc.; B11 represents G<SP>p</SP>, etc.; B2, B3, B6, B7, B9, B14 and B15 are the same or different and each represents C<SP>p</SP>, etc.; B8 and B12 are the same or different and each represents A<SP>p</SP>, etc.; E1 represents a hydroxy group, etc.; and E2 represents -B23-R1, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
