<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective layer transfer sheet, which is excellent in foil tearing properties between a base material sheet and a thermally transferable protective layer and further excellent in durabilities such as a wear resistance and scratch resistance, a weatherability, a chemical resistance, a solvent resistance, sealing properties with water color ink and a writability, and a thermal transfer image recording body utilizing the protective layer transfer sheet. <P>SOLUTION: In the protective layer transfer sheet equipped with the thermal transferable protective layer in at least some part of one side of the base material, the thermally transferable protective layer has water absorbing properties after thermal transfer and the transfer sheet is formed by laminating at least a peel layer, a sealable and writable protective layer made of a water resistant porous layer and a water-absorbable resin and a heat-bondable resin layer in the order named from the base material sheet side. The peel layer comprises at least a water-soluble resin, fine particles and a hardener, and the water-soluble resin has a number average molecular weight of 10,000-30,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
