PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing and distributing a plurality of software products and a computer readable medium. SOLUTION: Computer codes, which are necessary for installing a plurality of related and independent software products, are stored in a storage medium, and include at least some first codes, which are necessary for all software products that can be installed from a storage medium or a pair of media. Installing of specified software products includes that of first codes and at least some parts of product peculiar codes. On the basis of information, such as product keys that are provided by users, installation is executed by an installer that identifies and installs appropriate software products.
