PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a response image message to a calling telephone if an automatic answering setting mode is set when called or called continuously for a fixed period of time. SOLUTION: When a telephone 20A in which the automatic answering mode is set, is called or is called continuously for a fixed period of time, a response image management computer 10 reads out the response image message and transmits the response image message to the calling telephone 20B via an Internet network. The response image message may be transmitted to a telephone of a transmission origin from the answering machine via the Internet network without utilizing the response image message computer.
