<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper distribution device interlocking a plurality of swing guide members and capable of releasing a folded paper sheet caught in the swing guide member quickly. <P>SOLUTION: When a folded part p of the folded paper sheet P' is caught in a tip of the swing guide member 7b on the upstream side, the following control is performed. First, the paper sheet P' is conveyed in the reverse direction by reverse feeding distance R (slightly longer than the maximum length of the folded part p) as shown in Fig. a. Next, each swing guide member 7c, 7b swings to a passing side position as shown in Fig. b.
