PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to visually notice that a direction indicator etc. to indicate the running direction of a vehicle is lit erroneously and enhance the safety of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A steering wheel part 2 has approximately a ring shape and is furnished in one part with light transmission parts 5 and 6. The light transmission parts 5 and 6 are furnished internally with lighting parts 3 and 4, respectively, and because they are extended to a length longer than the palm of the driver, there is no risk that the light generated by the lighting parts 3 and 4 is intercepted by his hand. The lighting parts 3 and 4 which light up interlocking with lighting of the direction indicator, can give the driver a display that the direction indicator is lighting in error. This can reduce giving an erroneous indication to the people etc. around the vehicle to lead to a reduction of occurrence of traffic accidents etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
