<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance-free apparatus capable of removing odor components, for solving the problems that a conventional air purifier using a photocatalyst can not remove the odor components and can remove the odor components by using active carbon, which requires maintenance or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In this apparatus, the photocatalyst 10 whose main component is pulverized tourmaline is fixed to the surface of a prescribed part in an air flow path, for instance, to the surface of an air filter 6 or the like, and photocatalyst exciting light sources 7 and 11 are provided facing the part where the photocatalyst 10 is fixed.
