PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plugging-material used for a slidable opening/closing device of a ladle, which plugging-material makes a non-opened outlet hardly generated. SOLUTION: The plugging-material consists of sand, which comprises 40-100 mass% silica sand having a particle size distribution of 0.3-1.7 mm and 60-0 mass% chromite sand having a particle size distribution of 0.1-0.85 mm, and feldspar, which has a particle size distribution of 0.3-1.7 mm and is externally added to the sand so that the total amount of alkali is 0.3-1.5 mass%.
