<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment system capable of reducing treating cost and equipment cost and miniaturizing the system. <P>SOLUTION: Dust and soot in high temperature exhaust gas is captured by an electric collector 12 of high temperature dry type, nitrogen dioxide NO<SB>2</SB>in the exhaust gas is removed by a denitrification means, thereafter, the exhaust gas is cooled by an air heater 14 and is allowed to flow through an activated carbon fiber layer as an activated carbon treatment means and sulfur oxides SO<SB>2</SB>and SO<SB>3</SB>included in the exhaust gas are removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI.
