PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for supplying fuel gas, capable of obtaining constant and stable energy (electric power etc.) when the fuel gas which is obtained by gasifying a solid organic matter and of which heat quantity and flow rate are changed is supplied to an energy conversion device. SOLUTION: When the fuel gas obtained by gasifying the organic matter is supplied to the energy conversion device 5, the flow rate and the heat quantity of the fuel gas are detected and controlled so as to make constant a product of the flow rate and the heat quantity. This method can be implemented in the fuel gas supply device equipped with a fuel gas generating device 1, a flow rate sensor 3-1 and a heat quantity sensor 3-2 of the generated fuel gas, and a buffer tank 13 and buffer tank discharge side fuel gas flow regulating valve 4 automatic control function for controlling the product of the heat quantity and the flow rate of the fuel gas at a constant level.
