A heat exchanger is provided to prevent fins from melting due to solder through scratches or die lines on surfaces of a plurality of porous flat tubes. A plurality of porous flat tubes(2) are arranged in parallel. A pair of header pipes are bonded with the plurality of porous flat tubes. A plurality of fins are bonded between the plurality of porous flat tubes. A plurality of filler metal absorbing elements(4) are arranged on surfaces of the plurality of porous flat tubes inserted into the header pipes along by a longitudinal direction. When the header pipes, the plurality of porous flat tubes, and the fins are joined by brazing, the filler metal absorbing elements absorb melted filler metal to prevent leakage of solder.
