<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow dispensing device, to be installed at the outlet of an extruder, which is used for transferring a high moisture content proteinaceous food to the inlet of a multi-flow path cooling die from an extruder with more than one piece of extrusion screw. <P>SOLUTION: This flow dispensing device has an inner extrudate channel which defines a flow path for passage of an optional specified portion of the extrudates from the outlet of a food extruder to the inlet of a cooling die. In addition, the ratio of the length of the extrudates flow path running through the channel to the length of an outer diameter of any optional one of individual extruder screws is higher than about 0.75:1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
