<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain reception characteristics, or the like in the best condition, even if radio wave environment regarding fading. <P>SOLUTION: The current position of a cellular telephone 100 is detected by a GPS reception circuit 106, or the like. The type of the radio wave environment regarding the fading corresponding to the current position is searched from a classified region table 114 for each type. A parameter corresponding to the type is searched from a parameter table 115. Gains and frequencies are automatically controlled by a loop gain corresponding to the parameter. Intermittent waiting time and wake-up time corresponding to the type are searched from a time table 116.
