PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold cathode electron gun which has no leakage even if a field emission type electron source element is used as an electron source of an electron tube, and to provide the electron tube and a manufacturing method of the electron tube. SOLUTION: After prescribed welding is applied on an electron gun electrode, plating is applied, and thereby, a plated layer is formed on the surface of the electron gun electrode. Then, a field emission type electron source element is mounted. Thereby, molten metal having a micro minute metal particle size generated at welding work does not fly over to the field emission type electron source element. Further, metal dust adhered to the electron gun electrode can be embedded into the plated layer. Therefore, the occurrence of leakage between a gate electrode and an emitter due to the adherence of the metal dust can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
