The ball (or boule) is made from a solid transparent or translucent material in the form of an outer shell (C) in two hemispherical halves that are joined together by a threaded ring (8) and matching circular channel (7). The shell is designed to receive an inner spherical core (N), and the shell halves and core have cylindrical cavities (5, 6, 5', 6') to receive chemiluminescent cartridges or sticks. Additional sticks can be positioned in cavities (1, 2) in the parting plane of the two shell halves.
